Overview

Emerging nations can only grow if they have energy. Alongside the projects that generate it, MIG finances the trade that moves it: LNG, EN590, and Jet A1 cargoes and refined products into the markets that need them.

What MIG does

We finance the cargo between the seller and the buyer — purchase, shipping, storage and delivery — secured on the cargo itself and on the sales contract, and repaid from the sale. As always, we start by evaluating the offtakers and take it from there: the buyer, the route and the timing decide the terms.

From cargo to power

LNG supply is what makes floating LNG-to-power possible. Where a market needs gas for power, the trade finance and the power project can be put together — see the Blue Sea Power case study and the paper Floating LNG-to-Power for AI Data Centres (8200-1311).
